Jurgen Klopp predicted to walk away from Liverpool after ‘shocking’ development – pundit
Jurgen Klopp should leave Liverpool at the end of the 2022-23 season.
That’s according to former Hibernian striker Tam McManus, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the German’s future.
Liverpool lost 1-0 to Nottingham Forest on Saturday (22 October), leaving them eighth in the table after 11 games.
Liverpool are likely to progress to the knockout rounds of the Champions League and sit five points off Newcastle United, who are currently fourth.
McManus fears things have gone “stale” for Klopp at Liverpool.
“There might be a change at the end of the season, I think that might be best for all parties,” McManus told Football Insider‘s Ben Wild.
“It will be a clean break for them. Klopp has a lot of credit, the fans still absolutely love him. Listen, I don’t think they will sack him.
“If they drop out of the race for the top four and they crash out of the Champions League then maybe a few fans could turn on him.
“I don’t think he has been heavily backed, to be honest. Milner is still playing, Henderson too. These guys are struggling.
“A lot of players are to be fair, you wonder if it has gone stale, that can happen in dressing rooms. It’s a shocking result against Forest.
“I think we might see a change at Liverpool at the end of this season.”

Liverpool are next in action against Ajax on Tuesday (25 October).
They then return to Premier League action against Leeds United on Saturday (29 October).
In other news, Liverpool have been told to sign a ‘replacement’ for James Milner and teammate after what pundit has seen.
