‘Jurgen Klopp to join Leeds United’ – Fans wowed by confirmed deal
Leeds United fans are rubbing their hands together at the prospect of Jurgen Klopp taking over after the big friendly German took a job with sponsors Red Bull.
The 57-year-old accepted his first job since leaving Liverpool at the end of last season, being named Global Head of Soccer at Red Bull.
The Austrian energy drink conglomerate owns five clubs across the globe, most notably RB Leipzig and Red Bull Salzburg, who regularly compete in Europe’s premier club competition.
Red Bull added Leeds United to their already impressive portfolio, becoming minority owners at the back end of last season while also taking on the role of their main shirt sponsor.
Jurgen Klopp to have direct role in running of Leeds United
Current manager Daniel Farke is feeling the pressure after an underwhelming start to their season, sitting in fifth with four wins, four draws, and one defeat from their opening nine league games.
While it’s unlikely Klopp will ever be on the sidelines at Elland Road, some fans have taken to X, formally known as Twitter, to speculate regardless.
