‘Just sell Morelos’, ‘Skint FC’ – Celtic fans react to Rangers investment update

Celtic fans have reacted with hilarity to the news that Rangers are planning to raise £6million through a share issue.

The news was revealed by STV Sport reporter Raman Bhardwaj, who also disclosed that Gers supremo Dave King revealed that ‘no external investment’ was going to be brought into Ibrox

The news of the cash injection into Steven Gerrard’s transfer budget was met with gales of laughter from Hoops fans, with one claiming that the Gers could sign ‘half a player’ for that amount of money.

Here are some of the best reactions from Twitter to King’s revelation about the share issue:

Whilst the Gers struggle to raise money to try and somehow challenge Celtic next season, the Hoops are going from strength to strength, and are on the verge of making history and becoming the first ever Scottish team to win the domestic treble two seasons in a row.

To make sure the Hoops keep miles in front of their bitter rivals though, they will have to keep qualifying for the very lucrative Champions League group stages.

As the qualifying process for this begins in July, it is important that manager Brendan Rodgers is backed in the summer transfer window and given the money he needs to buy the players he wants.
