Juventus ready Jakub Kiwior swoop as Arsenal make transfer decision

Jakub Kiwior is on the radar of both Juventus and Inter Milan as he weighs up his long-term future at Arsenal, sources have told Football Insider.

Mikel Arteta has been forced to call upon Kiwior in the Gunners’ backline since Gabriel Magalhaes picked up a hamstring injury against Fulham last month, and the Polish international hasn’t let anyone down.

Kiwior hasn’t done his first-team chances any harm with his performances alongside William Saliba in Gabriel‘s absence, but the 25-year-old will soon be back on the bench once the Brazilian is fit again.

With Kiwior likely to be third-choice at the Emirates ahead of next season, sources have told Football Insider that he could push for a move away in order to play more regularly, with Serie A sides interested.

Football Insider sources have said that Inter and Juventus both remain keen on signing the versatile Kiwior, who now has the crucial choice of whether to stay at Arsenal or make a move to the Italian giants.

Arsenal ready to cash in on Jakub Kiwior interest

Former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson told Football Insider that Arteta will be happy to let Kiwior leave this summer despite his increased game-time of late, and that attitude could go both ways.

With interest aplenty from Serie A and the Gunners keen to gain PSR leeway, sources have told Football Insider that Kiwior could be sold to help boost Arsenal’s own transfer kitty ahead of the summer window.

Juventus defender Renato Veiga isn’t guaranteed to make his loan from Chelsea permanent this summer despite their interest, and this could open the door for the Igor Tudor’s side to make a move for Kiwior.

Arteta transfer strategy can’t afford to fail at Arsenal

Although Kiwior’s form has been solid at the back for Arsenal in the nine games since Gabriel’s season-ending injury, even he will accept that he’s unlikely to displace the Brazilian or Saliba in central defence.

Arsenal will be much keener to keep Saliba amid interest from Real Madrid rather than Kiwior, and with Arteta under pressure to succeed after another trophyless season, this summer’s window must deliver.

Selling Kiwior would provide much-needed funds to sign the likes of Ollie Watkins from Aston Villa, and such high-profile additions will put the onus on Arteta to finally lead Arsenal into an era of silverware.
