Tottenham striker Harry Kane has promised on Twitter he will score even more goals when he returns from his latest ankle injury.
The club confirmed on their official Twitter account on Tuesday evening that the 23-year-old has sustained ligament damage to his right ankle following the 6-0 win against Millwall in the FA Cup on Sunday.
He was forced off injured early in the first half and it has now been revealed that the injury suffered by Kane is not as severe as the injury he previously sustained in September.
Despite that setback, the England international has promised the supporters to come back even better.
“Always come back stronger from injuries and will be working hard with the medical staff to do that again,” Kane wrote on his personal Twitter account.
The White Hart Lane will love Kane’s comments because it shows how much the club and performing well for Spurs means to him.
He has scored 19 Premier League goals this season, joint with Everton striker Romelu Lukaku, but Kane did miss a month of action earlier on in the campaign through injury.
Overall, he has netted an impressive 24 goals in 29 matches, including two during the group stages of the Champions League.
During the week commencing April 22, Pochettino has the opportunity of guiding his team to the final of the FA Cup where they will either meet Arsenal or Manchester City.
The Argentine will be hopeful that Kane can make it back for that crucial match against Chelsea and for the rest of their Premier League run-in where they are aiming to finish in the top four.
