Naby Keita may have play his last game for Liverpool, according to Kevin Campbell.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Arsenal and Everton striker expects the Reds to try and offload the 26-year-old this summer after another season blighted by injury.
As confirmed by Liverpool’s website, Keita is currently sidelined with a fitness issue and it is unclear whether he will feature again this season with just 10 days until the summer break.
Football Insider understands Leicester City are keeping tabs on the midfielder’s situation ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Reds value the Guinea international, who has started just nine games in the 2020-21 campaign because of injury, in the region of £30million.
When asked by Football Insider if Keita may have played his last game for Liverpool, Kevin Campbell said: “To be honest with you, I think he might have.
“I think that is a bit of business Liverpool would be happy to do in the summer.
“There is no point in having players who cannot stay fit. Believe you me, your best trait is to be available. You can be the best player in the world but if you are never available…
“If you cannot be available for the majority of the games in a season, you are not fulfilling your obligations.
“I think Liverpool will look to move him on in the summer, it just hasn’t worked out for him.”
