Keith Wyness drops verdict on Everton signing Jack Grealish permanently
Jack Grealish is likely to permanently move to Everton in the summer transfer window but a January deal cannot be ruled out.
That is according to ex-Everton, Aston Villa, and Aberdeen chief executive Keith Wyness, speaking exclusively to Football Insider who is backing the Toffees to agree a deal for the Man City loanee.
Everton could agree a £20million deal for Grealish, despite his loan agreement including a £50m option to buy.
Grealish wants his long-term future to be at Everton, after being frozen out at Man City under Pep Guardiola.
Everton could ‘get done something done in January’ for Jack Grealish
Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – believes Grealish has “renewed himself” on Merseyside.
Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast, Wyness thinks the 30-year-old still has a lot to give at the club.
He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “Look, he seems to have renewed himself. I think he’s been getting doubled up a lot, but [Illiman] Ndiaye has formed his own good form as well, and [Kiernan] Dewsbury Hall.
“Teams are finding it very hard to double up on all three of them. So that’s the thing. But I think Jack is now getting that freedom. I think he’s enjoying being a senior member of the squad. He’s still only 30 and there are a lot of years to go.
“He didn’t have a really tough season last year. There’s a lot left in his legs. So look, everything’s good. And think, as I say, I think it’ll be the summer. There may be something done in January, but I doubt it very much. I think they’ll wait for the second half of the season.”

Everton target two key positions
Everton could be restricted in January due to previous financial issues, meaning David Moyes may not be able to make any big signings.
Moyes may be looking at fixing other positions in his squad before signing Grealish, with a striker and a right-back seen as a priority.
Leeds defender Jayden Bogle is a target for Everton to bolster their defensive line, whilst Wolves striker Jorgen Strand Larsen has been linked with a move to The Hill Dickinson Stadium.
