Keith Wyness has big Tottenham transfer news – ‘I do expect three incoming’
Tottenham have been backed to complete up to three new signings before the end of the January transfer window.
That is according to ex-Everton, Aston Villa, and Aberdeen chief executive Keith Wyness, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, who is “surprised” that Spurs have not been more active in the market.
Spurs are not convinced by Thomas Frank and may decide against backing the manager in the January transfer window, amid increasing unrest from supporters.
Frank could be sacked by Spurs with the north London club lying in the bottom half of the Premier League table.
Tottenham facing ‘deadline day dilemmas’
Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – believes Spurs may have a “rush” completing signings in January.
Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast, Wyness thinks Spurs need to make new additions to strengthen the team.
He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “I did expect them be very busy, and I thought they’d be one of the busiest in the transfer window, and I’m surprised there hasn’t been a couple of things already done, because you thought they’d have been working on them already.
“I’m somewhat surprised that Tottenham haven’t done that because they need it, and they need to kick on. Now, whether it’s just the negotiation that’s going on, but I’m surprised that this wasn’t already lined up and ready to go.
“So yes, I am a little bit surprised, but I do expect Spurs to come in a bit of a rush in the transfer window whether it’s deadline day dilemmas or not, I don’t know. But I do expect two or three to be incoming still down at Spurs.”

Managerial contender emerges to replace Thomas Frank
With Frank’s future uncertain at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the club may turn to a familiar face if they sack the Dane.
Mauricio Pochettino could make a return to Spurs, with the 53-year-old potentially becoming available after the World Cup.
Pochettino is well liked by the Spurs fan base, after a successful five years at the club previously, where he led them to their first ever Champions League final in 2019.
