Keith Wyness reveals Everton’s stance on agreeing Harry Wilson deal
Everton may not renew their pursuit of Fulham midfielder Harry Wilson in the summer transfer window.
That is according to ex-Everton, Aston Villa, and Aberdeen chief executive Keith Wyness, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, who thinks Wilson won’t be a “prime target” for the Toffees in the summer.
Everton had an offer rejected by Fulham for Wilson in the January transfer window, with the 28-year-old set to become a free agent at the end of the season.
Fulham were reluctant to let Wilson leave mid-way through the campaign, with the Wales international the club’s top goalscorer in the Premier League.

Keith Wyness has ‘seconds thoughts’ over Everton pursuing Harry Wilson deal
Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – thinks the club will undertake a “broader search” in the summer for new signings.
Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast, Wyness states that interest in Wilson was only with a January deal in mind.
He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “I don’t necessarily think so. I think Harry Wilson was going to be a January deal if there was going to be one done at all.
“I think that the market opens up considerably in the summer. I know that Moyes likes him, but whether he will be the prime target in the summer, I have second thoughts about that.
“So I think if it was going to happen, it would have done in January. But I think there may be a broader search going on in the summer.
“And think Wilson may not be the prime target he would have been in January because the market’s obviously going to be much broader and bigger.”

Everton to pursue Premier League striker in summer window
David Moyes will be looking to add more goals to his Everton team next season, with a top target having now emerged to bolster their attacking ranks.
Chelsea striker Liam Delap is a target for Everton in the summer, with the London club ready to allow the 23-year-old to depart.
Delap only joined Chelsea last summer, but he has struggled to make an impact at Stamford Bridge, scoring just one goal in 17 Premier League appearances.
