Keith Wyness shares Gary O’Neil sack verdict after Wolves latest
Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness believes that Wolves supporters now want Gary O’Neil to be sacked if results don’t improve.
Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, the 66-year-old – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – revealed that fan unrest is starting to show at the Midlands club.
Wolves have made a winless start to the Premier League campaign which has placed pressure on the 41-year-old at Molineux.
Wolves fans could influence the future of Gary O’Neil
Wyness told Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast: “O’Neil proved last year he can do a good job.
“He has lost a lot of the squad, and it will take him time to get it turned around.
“Although I’ve been watching some of the results and the actual games themselves and Wolves have not been showing that resilience.
“It’s not as if they’ve been losing games in the last minute or in a very slim way, there’s been some pretty comprehensive thrashings so there are some flashing signs there.
“But I would trust O’Neil to bring them round, and I think Wolves have to do that.

“The fan unrest is starting to show, and they will want to change at some stage, but hopefully the majority will stick with him.
“We’ve seen it with Everton, when you get in that zone for a long time during a season that the fans if they stick with you, they can pull the team through.”
