Keith Wyness: ‘This is the final price Man City will accept to complete Oscar Bobb deal’

Oscar Bobb is looking increasingly likely to leave Man City with Pep Guardiola’s side set not to stand in the way of any departure.

That is according to ex-Everton, Aston Villa, and Aberdeen chief executive Keith Wyness, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, who reveals Man City could accept offers between £20million and £25m for Bobb.

Bobb has been linked with a move to Borussia Dortmund, amid a lack of game time at the Etihad this season.

Antoine Semenyo’s move to Man City may also push through Bobb’s exit with more competition standing in his way of first team minutes.

Man City will be ‘easy to deal with’ on Oscar Bobb

Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – believes Man City will be “happy” to do a deal for Bobb.

Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast, Wyness is expecting the 22-year-old to leave the club.

He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “I think they’re going to be quite easy to deal with on this one.

“I think something as low as £20m to £25m, I think, would be the sort of level. There seems to be different categories of strikers at the moment, and there does seem to be a whole market in that £20m to £30m level. And I think that’s where Bob will fit in.

“I think they may well do some sort of, you know, there’ll be some bonus-related stuff, but I think they’re going to be happy to do the deal. I think it’ll be £20m to £25m will be the sort of final price they’ll get into.”

Man City remain in Marc Guehi pursuit

Semenyo’s arrival at the Etihad does not look to be the only incoming at the club during the January transfer window.

Crystal Palace could accept an offer from Man City for Marc Guehi, with Guardiola having recently lost Josko Gvardiol and Ruben Dias to injury.

Guehi does not want to force a Crystal Palace exit, but there is an expectation from the London club that he will leave with his contract expiring at the end of the season.
