Kenny claims Celtic fans have just witnessed ‘title-winning’ moment
Paddy Kenny claims Anthony Ralston’s last-gasp winner against Ross County could prove to be a “title-winning moment” for Celtic.
The former Leeds United stopper, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insists last season’s Hoops side would have lost the game.
A 10-man Celtic grabbed a 97th-minute winner against Ross County on Wednesday (15 December) to keep their title challenge alive.
After taking the lead, County equalised before Carl Starfelt picked up two yellow cards.
Ralston then stole the points at the death.
Celtic remain four points behind Rangers, who are maintaining a perfect start to life under Giovanni van Bronkhorst.
Kenny insists the Hoops proved their title credentials with their last-gasp win.
“What a show of character,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“Moments like that win you the league. They looked down and out and still turned it around.
“It’s so different to last season. Last season, Celtic would have lost that game.
“There is no doubt in my mind. As soon as they went down to ten men last season it was game over.
“Staying in games when things go against you is crucial. I do wonder if we will look back and mark that as a title-winning moment.
“It gives them such a boost going into those next games too. Knowing you have the ability to win games against all odds is such a great feeling.”

Celtic are next in action against Hibs in Sunday’s (19 December) League Cup final.
Their next league game is against St Mirren on 22 December.
