Kenny issues ‘incredible’ verdict as West Ham tipped to sign ‘exciting’ Hlozek

Paddy Kenny has told West Ham fans to trust David Moyes amid interest in Adam Hlozek.

The former Leeds United stopper, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insists the Hammers need a new striker.

As revealed by Football Insider on Monday (13 Dec), West Ham have made an enquiry about Hlozek and what it would take to sign him.

It is understood Sparta Prague would demand a price tag of £16-20million to let the 19-year-old leave next month.

Michail Antonio remains the only senior striker available to David Moyes.

Kenny has pointed to the success of Czech internationals Tomas Soucek and Vladimir Coufal as to why Hammers fans should be excited by the Hlozek’s potential arrival.

“Just look at the guys they have already brought in,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“Soucek and Coufal have been incredible. They are clearly doing their homework.

“I’m sure he’s being watched regularly. We don’t know a lot about him but I bet West Ham do.

“You can’t question David Moyes’ transfer record. West Ham also desperately need another striker.

“We saw how they lacked a focal point against Tottenham on Wednesday.

“I’d love to see him sign for West Ham.”

Hlozek scored 15 times and contributed eight assists in just 19 league games for Sparta Prague last season.

He has been more of a creator this term, with 12 assists and six goals in 27 total outings.
