Kieron Bowie’s most likely destination revealed as Celtic and Rangers battle to sign Hibernian star
Celtic and Rangers have been eyeing a move for Hibernian’s Kieron Bowie throughout the winter window.
The 23-year-old striker has been excellent for the Edinburgh side this season and has netted nine goals in all competitions.
Arguably, his most memorable came against Hearts, as Hibs won the Edinburgh derby 3-2, with the striker netting a goal, which has helped the Old Firm sides stay in the race for the title.
As a result of his form, multiple sides have been interested in the striker, with Football Insider revealing that Celtic and Rangers have registered interest in Bowie.
However, despite Hibs wanting to keep hold of the Scotland international, it appears his future could be set to be outside of his home country.
European sides leading the race for Kieron Bowie
According to the Daily Record on 21 January, multiple European sides have entered the race for Bowie.
The striker has attracted interest from Italy, Germany and Belgium, with his form impressing clubs in these nations.
While the Old Firm clubs, as well as Wolves, have been eyeing the 23-year-old, the report states that a European move looks the most likely.
Offers are expected before deadline day. However, Hibs are only willing to part with their star striker if they get top dollar, with the striker still having two-and-a-half years left on his contract.

However, it remains to be seen if Hibs are willing to part with their striker as the deadline for the winter window grows evercloser.
What has David Gray said on Bowie’s future?
Hibs will certainly not lose Bowie without a fight.
Recently, the Edinburgh side have been on the back of some poor results, including a 1-0 defeat to Dunfermline in the fourth round of the Scottish Cup on the weekend.
As a result, many Hibs fans turned on David Gray, calling for the manager to be sacked at Easter Road.
Therefore, the manager will be keen to keep hold of his best players, as he looks to put the recent poor results behind him.
Recently, Gray has responded to the rumours surrounding Bowie’s future at Hibs in the winter window.
Been trying something different recently, so let’s use Kieron Bowie as a test subject.

I’m not totally sold on him. I don’t think he’s a bad player, but I feel there’s better options out there in value and ability.
Is he better than what we’ve got? Probably, but it’s a low bar. https://t.co/omd74D9gKW pic.twitter.com/EabUcHxBuL
When asked on 9 January if he was aware of any interest in Bowie, Gray told The National: “No, I think naturally, again with the window being open, that’s speculation that will always be there.
“It’s a sign of the football club doing well, it’s a sign that your players are playing well, your teammates, that it helps you get into these positions.
“And for any player that gets speculation around them, there’s nothing you can do about that. It means you’re doing something right.
“I think that’s something that’s great to have, as long as you remember why that’s come. It’s come because you’re playing well, you’re working hard, you’re part of a successful team.
“And I don’t expect that speculation to go away.”
