Kevin Danso sends ‘big’ Tottenham message, Solanke and James Maddison respon

Kevin Danso shared a message on social media after Tottenham’s hard-fought 1-0 victory over Manchester United in the Premier League.

Spurs secured all three points at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium against Man United, with James Maddison’s first-half goal proving decisive.

The win not only strengthened their position in the league but also marked their first clean sheet at home in the competition since August.

Danso started in defence alongside Ben Davies, Pedro Porro, and Djed Spence, with all four defenders playing a crucial role in keeping United at bay. Spence particularly stood out with an impressive performance, but the entire backline contributed to a resolute display that frustrated Ruben Amorim’s side.

Following the match, Danso took to social media to celebrate the victory, acknowledging the team’s defensive effort and the significance of securing a clean sheet.

Kevin Danso’s importance grows amid Tottenham injury woes

The centre-back recently took to Instagram to share his excitement with a post captioned: “What a day! Big fight. Big win. Clean sheet.”

Tottenham teammates such as Dominic Solanke and Maddison sent messages of support, with Solanke commenting “Solid” and Maddison adding “Big fella on smoke.”

Danso joined the North London side on loan from French side Lens in January and has become an essential figure following injuries to key players such as Cristian Romero, Micky Van de Ven, and Radu Dragusin.

Tottenham fans have claimed their team is “cursed” after Dragusin’s injury, which is expected to keep him out for the remainder of the season.

Already well integrated into the squad, Danso made sure to send a motivational message to Tottenham fans after their exit Carabao Cup loss to Liverpool.

The Austrian international has already featured three times for manager Ange Postecoglou, starting in all three matches.

Postecoglou has faced growing pressure amid a turbulent season, with Tottenham now out of both domestic cup competitions and sitting in 12th place in the Premier League.

However, the club’s hierarchy has pointed to injury problems as a significant factor in the team’s struggles, which could explain why the Australian coach has yet to lose his job.

The board has shown support for Postecoglou, having backed him with three January signings: Danso, Mathys Tel, and Antonin Kinsky. Tottenham also made a move for Axel Disasi, but the French defender opted to join Aston Villa instead.

The focus now shifts to an upcoming away tie against Ipswich, where the Lilywhites will aim to secure their third consecutive Premier League victory.
