Kevin De Bruyne backed to end career at Man City after social media reveal – pundit
Alan Hutton expects Kevin De Bruyne to stay at Man City for the rest of his career.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Tottenham and Aston Villa right-back said the 31-year-old will want to continue to play for Pep Guardiola.
De Bruyne was in the starting lineup for the 1-1 draw with Villa on Saturday (3 September).
The Belgium international provided the assist for Erling Haaland’s goal.
He has featured in all six of City’s Premier League games this season.
Tuesday (30 August), marked the seven year anniversary of the midfielder’s arrival at the Etihad.
He joined City from VfL Wolfsburg in 2015.
When asked how important De Bruyne will be for Guardiola’s side this season, Hutton told Football Insider: “He’s one of the best players in the world for me.
“He was getting slaughtered in the press at that moment in time [when he signed] compared to where he is now.
“He’s an incredible player and he seems to me like one of those players who might stay at City for the rest of his time. I think he really enjoys it, working under the manager.
“They’re obviously competing for trophies year in year out and he looks happy. He looks happy when he’s playing which is the main thing. Why would you not want to stay somewhere that you’re happy?“

De Bruyne made 30 appearances for Man City across all competitions last season.
During those outings he scored 15 goals and provided eight assists.
