Kieran Maguire: Everton have secured ‘seven-figure’ windfall after announcement

Kieran Maguire has claimed Everton will likely have secured a “seven-figure” windfall from their new sleeve sponsor BOXT.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the finance expert cited Chelsea’s £20million deal with WhaleFin when estimating the value of the Toffees’ partnership.

On 4 August, Everton announced they had signed a shirt sleeve partnership agreement with BOXT.

The deal will see the BOXT Life logo appear on the sleeves of Everton’s men’s, women’s and under-21’s kits this season.

Everton secured a club-record main shirt sponsorship deal with Stake.com earlier this year.

When asked by Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs for his estimate of how much the Merseyside club would earn from the deal, Maguire said:

“I think BOXT are feeling quite sore that their relationship with Nottingham Forest has ended. They supported the club at a time when Forest had just gone through the trauma of Football Index.

“The two clubs could not agree on a price. It is always very difficult to work out these things.

“I think we are looking at a seven figure deal. Everton managed to secure a record deal with Stake.com for their front of shirt. They will be looking for similar here.

“Chelsea are rumoured to be getting £20million from WhaleFin. That helps them to comply with profit and sustainability rules.

“For a club the size of Everton we are looking at low seven figures.”

In other news, a source has revealed Newcastle United are lining up a new for an Everton star amid a £40million reveal.
