Kieran Maguire: Liverpool land cash ‘boost’ as deal agreed
Liverpool will ‘boost’ the value of their new sponsorship deal with All Star Partners by touring East Asia this summer.
That is the view of finance expert Kieran Maguire, who spoke exclusively to Football Insider about Liverpool’s latest sponsorship deal in China.
Liverpool announced last Monday (1 May) that they have forged an official retail partnership with All Star Partners – a Chinese retail company.
The new partnership will give fans ‘easier access to official retail merchandise via digital e-commerce marketplaces’.
Liverpool have targeted China and the wider Asia-Pacific region as a growth area for the club commercially, and they will strengthen that relationship further this summer with the club set to tour the region in pre-season.
The Reds initially announced a pre-season trip to America for the summer, but the club have scrapped the plans and intend to return to Asia.
Maguire believes a return to East Asia could be part of the sponsorship deal with All Star Partners as it will provide marketing opportunities for both parties.
“It’s a logical step as far as Liverpool are concerned,” Maguire told Football Insider.
“All Star Partners will want to have their product aligned with Liverpool physically in terms of the club appearing in East Asia.

“And therefore this will probably be part of the overall deal that Liverpool would have been able to promise that they will be coming to that area geographically.
“That will mean that you have a couple of marketing opportunities for the organisation and this will only help in terms of providing a boost to the price.“
