Kieran Maguire: Newcastle could rip up £5m deal as new offers revealed
Newcastle United could look to end their £5million per season manufacturing deal with Castore and partner with another brand.
That is the opinion of finance expert Kieran Maguire, who exclusively told Football Insider that Newcastle could look for an ‘exit route’ out of the agreement.
Newcastle partnered with Castore ahead of the 2021/22 season, signing a six-year deal with the British manufacturing company.
The deal is worth £5million a season across the six years, taking the total value of the agreement to £30million.
Football Insider revealed back in February that there are private regrets at St James’ Park about being locked into the Castore deal.
The Magpies have prioritised improving commercial revenue following their Saudi Arabian takeover, and have pinpointed their manufacturing deal as an area of improvement.
Manchester United currently boast the highest-paying manufacturing deal in the Premier League with their £75million per season Adidas deal, while Manchester City rank second with their Puma deal worth £65million per season.
Maguire believes Newcastle will look to strike a new manufacturing deal in 2026 or bargain with Castore to get a much higher value out of their agreement.
“Newcastle could be looking for an exit route from the Castore deal,” Maguire told Football Insider’s Sean Fisher.

“Or, they could just be using it as a bargaining chip to generate more money out of the deal or to get them to extend the agreement.
“There would certainly be a very lucrative contract on offer as far as some of the big boys in the sports apparel market are concerned.“
