Kieran Maguire tips Chelsea to sign big-money deal similar to £68m Man City agreement

Chelsea could strike a front-of-shirt sponsorship deal with Oman Air this summer to replace their current agreement with Infinite Athlete.

That is the view of finance expert Kieran Maguire, who exclusively told Football Insider that the Blues could join Manchester City and Arsenal by partnering with an airline company.

Chelsea started the season without a shirt sponsor but announced an agreement with Infinite Athlete in September until the end of the season.

The Londoners also struck a sponsorship deal with Oman Air in July – who have also been linked with a shirt sponsorship deal.

Premier League rivals Man City and Arsenal both have partnership agreements with airline companies – Etihad and Emirates – with City’s Etihad deal worth £68million per season.

Maguire has tipped Chelsea to turn to Oman Air for a shirt sponsorship deal as it would be beneficial to both parties.

The Chelsea Infinite Athlete front of shirt deal for 2023-24 had many people scratching their heads,” Maguire told Football Insider’s Sean Fisher.

It was, in theory, a one-year deal – but it wasn’t signed until well into the season.

Therefore, the amount of money involved can’t have been hugely significant.

It looks as if Chelsea will be looking for a replacement for 2024-25 and someone like Oman Air fits in within the profile.

“Oman Air will be looking for a high-profile Premier League deal as they’ve seen the success that Etihad and Emirates have brought to other clubs.

Chelsea will also be looking for a partner with a global reach and airlines have been very beneficial in that sense as far as Premier League clubs are concerned.
