Kieran Tierney: This 24-year-old is the most skillful Celtic player

By Will Butcher

Kieran Tierney has claimed that playmaker Tom Rogic possesses the most tricks up his sleeve in the Celtic squad when it comes to skill.

Celtic boast an abundance of attacking talent that possess bags of trickery in the likes of Scott Sinclair, James Forrest and Patrick Roberts, but Tierney believes 24-year-old Rogic tops the lot.

In a Q&A session on the Hoops’ official Twitter account, Tierney responded to a fan by revealing Australia international Rogic is Celtic’s most skillful player “all day long”.

Teenager Tierney has formed a formidable partnership from left-back with the Australian as he continues to get forward and latch on to Rogic’s incisive attacking passes.

Rogic is currently sidelined through an ankle injury and is expected to be out for the next two months after undergoing surgery to correct the issue.

The former Central Coast Mariners star has been in stunning for under manager Brendan Rodgers this term, as the Hoops continue their domination over the Scottish Premiership.

Wearing the number 18 shirt, Rogic has had a hand in 15 goals this season, scoring 10 times and providing another five goals in assists.

Currently being replaced by the likes of Callum McGregor and Liam Henderson, fans will have to wait until at least March to see Rogic return to Celtic’s line up.

Rogic will watch from the sidelines once again on Saturday, as the Hoops play host to Motherwell as they look to go even stretch their huge lead at the top to 30 points.
