Sturridge’s time is up
Daniel Sturridge looked like the future of English football back in 2013-14, when he and Luis Suarez destroyed teams as Liverpool almost won the title. Since then injuries have taken their toll, and the player’s appearance tonight summed up what happened to him. He struggled to get into the game and it wasn’t a surprise when he was replaced by Georginio Wijnaldum in the 66th minute. It seems that a move to another club may be what’s best for Sturridge to try and rescue his career.
