Koeman posts Twitter verdict after Everton demolition of Hull

By Danny Wright

Ronald Koeman has lauded Everton on Twitter for maintaining their 100 per cent home record in 2017.

The Toffees eased to a 4-0 victory over struggling Hull on Saturday to win their sixth league game at Goodison Park in as many games.

Goals from Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Enner Valencia and a Romelu Lukaku brace were enough to see off the Tigers, who had Tom Huddlerstone sent off in the second half.

Southampton, Manchester City and West Brom are some of the key teams to have lost on the blue side of Stanley Park since the turn of the year.

Everton have only lost once in their last 12 Premier League fixtures and they are currently sixth in the table after leapfrogging Manchester United, who travel to Middlesbrough on Sunday.

“Another great home win today! Six out of six in 2017. Up the Toffees,” said Koeman on his personal Twitter account.

The 53-year-old is in his debut season managing Everton and has a win percentage of 47% in his first 32 matches.

He arrived at Goodison after Roberto Martinez was sacked last season and was promptly snatched from Southampton after an impressive spell on the south coast.

Koeman has also been in charge of the likes of Ajax, Valencia and Benfica in his managerial career so far.

He has recently been linked with taking over Luis Enrique at Barcelona at the end of the season after the Spanish boss announced he will be quitting the Nou Camp.

After the international break, Everton have two massive away fixtures against local rivals Liverpool and Man United.

In other Everton news, Stan Collymore has said how much he thinks Romelu Lukaku is worth after the win over Hull.
