Kristoffer Ajer delivers Twitter verdict on Celtic win v Zenit

Celtic centre-back Kristoffer Ajer has paid tribute to his team-mates following the Hoops’ 1-0 Europa League win over Zenit.
The Bhoys dominated the match against Roberto Mancini’s side, and Callum McGregor’s 78th minute winning goal was the least that they deserved.
Ajer, who was a rock at the heart of defence alongside Jozo Simunovic, took to his personal Twitter account to hail the Bhoys after a job well done.
“Fantastic team performance,” the 19-year-old Tweeted.

Ajer has seamlessly settled into the Hoops side since becoming a first team regular in December. He at first formed a partnership with Dedryck Boyata, but after the Belgian’s injury he has teamed up with Simunovic, the man he originally replaced in the team after the Hoops’ 4-0 loss to Hearts in December.
Brendan Rodgers will have been delighted with not only Ajer’s but the rest of the team’s performance, as an injury ravaged side took the game to the team currently second in the Russian league.
Aside from Ajer and Simunovic, 20-year-old Eboue Kouassi was also a stand-out in the middle of the park and Moussa Dembele had his best game for months up-front.
The Bhoys return to league action against St Johnstone on Sunday before making the trip to Russia for the second leg against Zenit on Sunday.
