Kurt Zouma: It’s an ‘overreaction’ for West Ham to ‘sack’ defender – pundit
Kurt Zouma does not deserve to be sacked by West Ham as controversy around his situation continues.
That’s according to former Leeds United stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider after the defender’s “absolutely disgusting” actions.
Zouma, who signed for West Ham from Chelsea for £30m last summer, was recently filmed abusing his pet cat.

Tourism firm Experience Kissimmee have ended a partnership with the Irons in response, while insurance company Vitality has suspended theirs.
Some fans have called for Zouma to be sacked by the club but Kenny insists this is the wrong approach.
“What he’s done is absolutely disgusting,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ewan Kingsbury.
“You can’t condone anything like that. I don’t know why he’s done it.
“It’s a hard thing to get your head around in all honesty.
“Oh my, sacking him is an overreaction in my opinion. It’s horrible and it’s a tough one.
“The club are going to get a lot of stick. I don’t think sacking him is right.
“He has to be put through some courses and be punished by the club.
“There are players out there who have done far worse and who have then been able to carry on and have a career.
“So, sacking him over that is a bit harsh. But I just can’t get my head around the whole thing.
“We all make mistakes but something like that is just horrible.”

The defender started as West Ham beat Watford 1-0 on Tuesday (8 February).
The Hammers are next in action Leicester City on Sunday (13 February).
