Kurt Zouma: West Ham defender’s Premier League career ‘may be over’ after update today – pundit

Kurt Zouma may never play in the Premier League again after West Ham confirmed they had fined him, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker insisted Zouma is a disgrace after a video emerged of Zouma abusing his cat.

West Ham confirmed today (9 February) the defender has been fined the “maximum account possible” which has been donated to the RSPCA.

The Athletic reported the same day he has also lost his sponsorship deal with adidas.

Agbonlahor believes further punishment is coming for Zouma after the David Moyes was roundly criticised for selecting him in Tuesday night’s win over Watford.

“He’s done for the season and I can’t see him playing again in the Premier League,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.

“What he has done is a disgrace. I’m not even a pet lover, I don’t have pets but watching that video was sickening, never mind the vast majority of the English population that have pets.

“It was sickening what he’s done and it’s evil. If you don’t want a pet, don’t have a pet. Honestly, it was one of the worst things I’ve watched for a long time.

“West Ham will be thinking they can’t play him. It will effect the team and it will be hostile.

“There has got to be a big punishment for what he has done.

“What he’s not understood is that English people love their pets. You might not be a cat lover but you’re a human being and you should know how to treat animals and that’s not how you treat animals.

“It’s one of the worst things I’ve seen.”
