Kyle Walker branded a ‘disgrace’ after confirmed Man City news – fans fume
Man City fans have named Kyle Walker a “disgrace” after it was confirmed that he wants to leave the football club.
The England international was left out of the City squad for their 8-0 win against Salford City in the FA Cup on Saturday (11 January), and Pep Guardiola confirmed why during his post-match press conference.
He said, “Two days ago, Kyle asked to explore the options to play abroad at the end of his career.
“In his mind, he would like to explore it, to go to another country to play the last years for many reasons. For that reason, I prefer playing other players whose mind is here.”
Walker is currently the club captain, but it now remains to be seen whether or not he will ever play for City again if Guardiola would prefer to play others as he did at the weekend.
The right-back has come under fire for some of his performances this season by fans and pundits alike, but he has remained a consistent presence in the City side.
