Lamare Bogarde sends message to Aston Villa target after ‘deal agreed’
Lamare Bogarde sent a message on social media to a teenage sensation who has agreed a deal to join Aston Villa this summer.
The 21-year-old made just eight Premier League appearances last season after spending the two previous campaigns on loan at Bristol Rovers.
However, Villa signed Bogarde to a contract extension in April and the defender could be set for an expanded role in Unai Emery’s side.
The Dutch defender is capable of playing at centre-back, right-back and as a holding midfielder.
Bogarde’s versatility makes him a valuable player, and with Lucas Digne in talks with Atletico Madrid, the defender may be encouraged to expand his repertoire further to gain more first-team minutes.
Villa missed out on a place in the Champions League thanks to a disastrous refereeing mistake on the final day of the season, and the club are now on the hunt to secure talent to add to their squad to aid their efforts to secure a place in UEFA’s most esteemed competition next campaign.

Lamare Bogarde sends message to Zepiqueno Redmond
Pete O’Rourke revealed to Football Insider Villa have agreed a deal for Feyenoord youngster Zepiqueno Redmond.
The young striker is set to undergo a medical, having signed a four-year deal with Emery’s side.
But before he joins up with his new side, Redmond is in action with Netherlands’ Under-19 side at the U19 Euros.
The striker scored twice as his nation ousted England from the competition with a 4-2 win.
Following the win, Bogarde shared a message to his soon-to-be teammate on his Instagram story, captioned: “Lil bro” with two emojis.

Aston Villa continue to add young talent
Football Insider Verdict
Despite the deals to bring Marcus Rashford and Marco Asensio to the club in January stealing the headlines, the Villains are arguably at their most successful when recruiting young talent.
The shining light of their strategy of signing youngsters is inarguably Morgan Rogers, who will be on his way to the World Cup next summer, should he avoid injuries.
The England international was signed for an initial fee of £8million [Sky Sports] from Middlesbrough in February 2024, and is now one of the Premier League’s best attacking players.
Aside from Redmond, Villa are also in the hunt for Mateus Fernandes, who performed well for Southampton last year despite their dismal results as a team.
However, Emery’s side will face stiff competition from Leeds and West Ham for the Portuguese midfielder.
