Leeds ace Pontus Jansson: This is what I have disliked about my time in England

Leeds ace Pontus Jansson has revealed that the one thing he has disliked about his time in England is the food.

Centre-back Jansson joined the Championship club on loan from Italian side Torino last summer as he is set to make a permanent switch to Elland Road in July.

The 26-year-old has played a key part in manager Garry Monk moulding the team into promotional challengers this season.

Jansson has formed an excellent partnership with on-loan Swansea man Kyle Bartley as they have helped the club secure 18 wins this term.

As a result, Jansson has become a popular figure at the club and this was his answer when asked about how he is adapting to life in England.

“The only thing, the food – in Italy it was much, much better,” Jansson told the club’s official website. “You have to be thankful to have food. But, if I have to say something that I’m not adapting to here in England then I would have to say the food.”

Sweden international Jansson has made 26 Championship, FA Cup and EFL Cup appearances for his team this season.

During those encounters, he has scored three important goals which have seen his team go on and secure seven points.

Jansson will now focus his attention on the Saturday match against promotion rivals Sheffield Wednesday.

The club’s Yorkshire rivals make the short trip to Elland Road knowing all three points could dent their chances of finishing in the top six.

Monk will be hoping Jansson and his defensive teammates can stop the attacking threat from the likes of Jordan Rhodes and Sam Winall.
