‘Leeds are in big trouble’ – Daniel Farke sack decision ‘soon’
Daniel Farke is facing increasing calls for his dismissal as Leeds United manager as the threat of relegation continues to loom at Elland Road.
That is according to former Man United and Blackburn chief scout Mick Brown, who remains very well-connected within the game, as he exclusively told Football Insider that Leeds could be forced to make a decision over the manager’s future “soon”.
Farke’s side lost 3-2 to Man City last time out, having fought back from 2-0 down in the second half before Phil Foden‘s late strike snatched all three points.
While the performance was not one of a defeated and deflated team, failing to pick up any points from a strong position yet again has led to further concerns.
This comes after Football Insider revealed on 25 November that Leeds have no immediate plans to sack Farke, but that could change if they fail to pick up points.

Leeds United to make Daniel Farke sack decision
Football Insider exclusively revealed on 28 November that Leeds will give Farke two games to save his job, and the first of those has now resulted in defeat.
Brown, who has a wealth of experience working closely alongside elite-level managers including Sir Alex Ferguson for over a decade at Man United, insisted the manager’s position is now very unstable with serious consideration to his future.
“Leeds are going to be given a difficult decision to make,” he told Football Insider.
“If any side is two goals down against Man City, there are very few capable of coming back from that position, and that’s what Leeds did at the weekend.
“They got it back to 2-2, but then they lost it in injury time. You have to give them credit for the fight back, but they can’t then throw that away after 90 minutes.
“Unfortunately, it doesn’t come as much of a surprise that they didn’t come away from that game with anything, because it’s the story of their season.
“Like when they played Villa, they got in front, but at no stage did you think they had the game wrapped up, and then Villa came back into it and won the game.
“Unfortunately for Leeds, that’s a trait that this team has picked up, they throw games away far too often and ultimately that blame comes back on the manager.
“The performances aren’t those of a team who have lost fight and belief, but if you can’t see out results, you’re always going to be in trouble.
“They’ve got some tough games coming up, and it doesn’t look at the moment like things are going to improve, so Leeds are in trouble.
“They’re going to have to make a decision soon. Something has got to change, and unfortunately that might have to be the manager.”
When Leeds United could decide to sack Farke
Football Insider revealed on 16 November that Farke is fighting for his job at Leeds, but he could be sacked before Christmas if their downturn in form continues.
Following their defeat to Man City, Leeds will face tough fixtures against both Chelsea and Liverpool in the next week, which could seal the manager’s fate.
Clashes with Brentford and Crystal Palace before Christmas could be targeted to ease the pressure on his position, but patience is quickly running out.

Football Insider revealed on 26 November that Farke has five games to turn things around, with some suggestions a decision could be made before those games are up.
The Elland Road outfit have now dropped into the Premier League relegation zone, increasing the pressure on the boss’ position.
