Leeds United are closing in on two new signings as they look to work quickly to strengthen their squad ahead of the return to pre-season training, Football Insider understands.

The Yorkshire giants are hopeful of making early inroads in the summer transfer window after instructions from Bielsa to give him as much time as possible to bed in new recruits.

A Leeds source has told Football Insider that Bielsa wants at least two signings "in the building" by the end of the month, before the first week of pre-season training is complete.

Football Insider exclusively broke the news on Thursday morning that United have set their sights on signing Wolves winger Costa on loan this summer.

It is not yet known if the Premier League club are open to an early-window loan for the one-time Portugal international but Leeds are nonetheless hopeful that one of their first two signings will be an attacking player.

United are concentrating on what the source described as "quality" signings, although they will be predominantly loans from top-tier clubs and free transfers.

As reported by Football Insider, Leeds are also keen to re-sign Jack Harrison from Manchester City on another season-long loan, as he is a player Bielsa is convinced can be a real star in the future.
