Football Insider verdict
Leeds look as though they may now be in a one-horse race to sign Forshaw - and that is definitely good news. There is not likely to be a bidding war with no other side credited with an interest in the Boro midfielder, so Thomas Christiansen looks like he will get his man once a bid is made. £2.5million may seem a lot for a fringe player, but Forshaw's experience of playing in promotion winning sides must surely catch the eye. Leeds also need central midfielders with Eunan O'Kane banned for three games and Kalvin Phillips walking a suspension tightrope.
