Leeds expected XI v Middlesbrough: Senior quartet axed
Felix Wiedwald (Goalkeeper) – The German had a solid game against Brentford and is set to retain his place despite his horrible mistakes in the recent draw against Bristol City.
Gaetano Berardi (Right-back) – Heckingbottom appears to have faith in the Swiss’ commitment and feistiness, and he is set to continue on the right side of the defence.
Liam Cooper (Centre-back) – The skipper has got the nod over Matthew Pennington in the last two matches and repaid the manager’s faith with the winning goal against Brentford. Set to continue in the heart of defence.
Pontus Jansson (Centre-back) – Talisman, defensive leader and arguably the team’s best player, Jansson will be key to keeping Boro at bay.
Laurens de Bock (Left-back) – The January recruit has been inconsistent since his arrival and was axed last weekend, but he is likely to return in place of Vurnon Anita in the first senior change.
