Leeds facing ‘near-impossible’ task after source’s Bielsa update this week – Kenny
Leeds face a “near-impossible” task as they begin to prepare for Marcelo Bielsa’s potential departure.
That’s according to former Leeds United stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about Bielsa’s next move.
A Whites source told Football Insider on 4 December the club are preparing fans for the possibility this could be the iconic manager’s final season at Elland Road.

The hugely-popular 66-year-old has only ever signed one-year deals with the club and director of football Victor Orta is compiling a shortlist of potential replacements.
Kenny insists Leeds are simply making sure they have a backup plan as Bielsa refuses to sign long-term deals.
“Listen, Leeds need a backup plan,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“Bielsa seems like a loyal man and I’m sure he would let the club know if he was planning to leave.
“This is life, things happen. Something personal can happen unexpectedly and leave you wishing you had a backup plan.
“Bielsa isn’t going to be here forever so it is no surprise Leeds are looking at other managers.
“I don’t think the fans should be too concerned, I think this is just a sensible strategy.
“It will be a sad day when he goes, he is a legend at that club. People use the word ‘transform’ with Bielsa.
“That’s absolutely right, replacing him will be near-impossible but I’m sure whoever comes in will be right for the job.”

Bielsa has been in charge of Leeds for four seasons if he sees out his contract.
He has already spent more time at the club than any other he has managed.
