Leeds fans all say the same about Joel Piroe transfer as Premier League bid submitted

Leeds fans think they have already found the solution to the speculation surrounding Joel Piroe’s future at Elland Road.

The Dutchman has fallen down the pecking order in West Yorkshire after the Whites’ promotion back to the Premier League in the summer, and that has put his position in the squad under scrutiny this winter.

Celtic recently approached Leeds over a possible loan for Piroe, but quickly had their advances laughed off by the Premier League outfit.

Daniel Farke has seemed intent on trying to involve the striker in his matchday squads of late, despite the fact that he has started just two league games since the beginning of the campaign.

Leeds fans want Joel Piroe included in Jorgen Strand Larsen deal

Leeds have shown a sustained interest in Jorgen Strand Larsen in recent weeks, with the Wolves striker catching the eye of several teams across the Premier League.

The Whites are in the hunt for the Norwegian along with the likes of Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest, with Wolves demanding a fee of £40million in order to contemplate allowing him to leave.

Leeds have now seen a bid rejected by the division’s bottom club, although the two sides are now in contact regarding the possibility of a deal.

Farke and Co. are aiming to bolster their attacking options for the second half of the campaign, and the Elland Road faithful are in no doubt as to where the latest development leaves Piroe’s future.

Several Leeds fans have already taken to X to share their desire to see Piroe used as part of a makeweight in the deal for Strand Larsen.

His record in the Championship is exceptional, and with Wolves’ relegation already all but sealed, the Leeds fans believe that they would consider a player plus cash offer if he were to be included in the negotiations.

What is Leeds’ current stance on losing Piroe?

Football Insider recently revealed that Leeds have no intention of losing Piroe, despite the fans’ desire to see him used to sweeten the Strand Larsen deal for Wolves.

Farke handed the 26-year-old a rare start in the recent FA Cup win over Derby County, and he has shown little sign of altering his belief that the frontman remains a useful option from the bench.

However, that could yet change if a player plus cash deal were to become a genuine possibility, as it would immediately see the Whites land a capable replacement for the outgoing star.

Piroe has delivered some special moments at Leeds in the last few seasons, but Strand Larsen is undeniably an upgrade and would add further quality to the squad.

If Wolves indicate that they would be interested in the possibility of a swap deal, then it would surely be foolish for Leeds not to consider it.
