Attacking midfielder Pablo Hernandez played a pivotal role in Leeds’ win over Blackburn on Wednesday evening, and fans were delighted with his display on Twitter.

The 31-year-old started from the bench for Garry Monk’s side as they finished 2-1 winners over Rovers at Ewood Park.

However, he didn’t have to wait long to enter the pitch and was brought on for attacker Hadi Sacko at half time in a tactical substitution.

The Spaniard is known for his killer set-pieces and he didn’t disappoint on Wednesday as he laid a ball on a plate from a corner for Pontus Jansson who headed home the winner on the 89th minute.

A number of Leeds fans paid testament to his ability from dead ball situations, while others simply announced their love for the experienced man.

Here are a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Hernandez’ assist on Wednesday marked his sixth from 22 fixtures this season, while he has also contributed with three goals.

He will now be looking to help the Yorkshire giants push on for promotion as they sit in fourth place in the league table after their midweek win.

Leeds have an important fixture coming up next on Sunday when they travel to face fifth placed Huddersfield.
