Leeds fans react on Twitter to Hernandez omission v Blackburn
By Harvey Byrne
Pablo Hernandez was left on the Leeds bench for their Wednesday evening clash against Blackburn, which caused shock amongst the Whites’ fan base on Twitter.
Garry Monk made the decision to start the 31-year-old attacking midfielder as a substitiute despite making 10 changes for the Ewood Park clash.
The young manager selected an attacking midfield three of Hadi Sacko, Stuart Dallas and Kemar Roofe, with the latter taking Hernandez’ usual number 10 role.
The Spaniard also missed Sunday’s shock 1-0 defeat against Sutton, but Leeds will take on play-off rivals Huddersfield on this coming Sunday in a short turnover of fixtures for the club.
A number of supporters on social media believe he has been rested for this reason, while others aired their surprise with many believing the team could suffer because of it.
Here are a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Hernandez initially made the switch to Yorkshire in a loan move from Qatari outfit Al-Arabi in the summer.
However, he impressed in his first five months at the club and Monk acted swiftly to tie him up to a permanent deal in January.
He has returned five assists and three goals in 21 encounters for the club and fans will be hoping he can make an impact from the bench on Wednesday if needed.
