This is what Leeds fans were singing to Garry Monk after the Wigan game

Leeds fans were singing “where else would you get this” to manager Garry Monk after the 1-1 draw against Wigan on Sunday afternoon.

There is a lot of talk regarding Monk’s future at Elland Road with his contract due to expire in the summer.

When Monk arrived at the club at the start of the season, he signed a one-year rolling contract under the ownership of Massimo Cellino.

Yorkshire Evening Post reporter Hay stated on his personal Twitter account what the away fans were singing at the final whistle.

Despite missing out on a play-off spot, many fans were pleased with the progress they have made under their highly-rated coach.

Therefore, it is no surprise that fans want Monk to extend his contract at Leeds after he confirmed that he will hold talks with the hierarchy after the Wigan match.

During the game against the Latics, striker Chris Wood scored his 30th goal in all competitions when he successfully converted a penalty early in the second half.

Prior to him finding the back of the net, Ryan Tunnicliffe has rounded goalkeeper Rob Green to open the scoring after just six minutes.

But, Wood levelled the scorings in the second half when Stuart Dallas was brought down in the penalty area.

It remains to be seen what the future lies for Monk, who has changed the fortunes around at the Yorkshire outfit, turning them into promotion hopefuls following years of struggle in the second tier.

In other Leeds news, fans have urged the club to sell this 26-year-old after the draw against Wigan.
