
Leeds fans stunned by what Jesse Marsch did to Marcelo Bielsa last night
Leeds United fans were left stunned as Jesse Marsch’s Canada side came within minutes of beating Marcelo Bielsa’s Uruguay at Copa America.
The two former Leeds bosses faced in the third-placed playoff where they drew 2-2 before Uruguay ran out as the eventual winners after a penalty shootout.
However, Marsch’s side were the better team throughout and missed out on a win after Luis Suarez slammed home an equaliser in the 92nd minute.
Leeds fans had tuned into the game hoping to see Bielsa’s side dominate and were shocked to see Canada get the better of their opponents despite the result.

Marsch was Bielsa’s replacement at Elland Road and was left with big shoes to fill in a move which ultimately cost him his job and Leeds their place in the Premier League.
The move was controversial amongst fans, and the Copa America clash brought those memories and feelings flooding back.
Some supporters even insisted Marsch was more up for the game in an attempt to get one over on his Leeds predecessor.
However, as Bielsa’s side won on penalties, fans expressed their delight at the result.
