Leeds fans tear into Illan Meslier after what he did vs Hull City

Leeds United fans have ripped into Illan Meslier after his pass almost cost them a goal against Hull City as the Whites picked up a 2-0 win at Elland Road.

The 24-year-old goalkeeper tried to play a short pass in the first half despite having three Hull attackers closing him down.

The opposition gained the ball and had a real chance to score, but ultimately weren’t able to take it.

It’s the latest in a run of questionable performances from the goalkeeper that have led to frustrations among Leeds fans.

Meslier has been at the club since 2020 and has made 178 appearances for the West Yorkshire giants.

Daniel Farke has put his faith in him since he took charge of Leeds, and he has remained the team’s number-one goalkeeper this season.

Not happy. Disjointed, no width, missing James, letting them play and again I’m not impressed with Meslier. Thought we would be well
