‘Just sell’, ‘Anonymous’ – Leeds fans slam one player despite win v QPR

Leeds United fans have slammed Caleb Ekuban for his performance in the 2-0 win against QPR at Elland Road on Sunday.

Ekuban, 24, has struggled in his first season at Leeds having suffered with injury and a serious lack of form in front of goal.

He was unable to finish the Championship campaign on a high as he drew yet another blank this weekend, meaning he has still scored just one league goal for the Yorkshire giants.

Leeds fans were furious when Paul Heckingbottom decided to start Ekuban over the likes of exciting youngster Ryan Edmondson, and it seems that their initial concerns were fully justified as the ex-Chievo forward failed to perform against QPR in what was effectively a dead-rubber tie.

One Whites supporter was furious with Ekuban’s display and claimed that the club should “just sell” the forward.

Here is a selection of their tweets:

Ekuban has made 21 appearances in all competitions in his debut season for Leeds after he arrived from Chievo in the summer.

He has scored two goals in the process, with one coming against Bolton in the March and the other coming against Port Vale in the Carabao Cup last August.

Chris Wood has scored the same amount of Championship goals for Leeds this season as Ekuban, even though the New Zealand international was offloaded to Burnley last August.
