‘Like he is drunk’, ‘Absolute stinker’ – Leeds fans tear into one player after win v Hull

Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to tear into Luke Ayling for his inept performance in the 1-0 win against Hull at Elland Road on Saturday.

Ayling, 26, continued his run of playing in every Leeds game this season when he was picked to start at right-back by Thomas Christiansen ahead of the game, however fans on social media believe that the defender has a shocker of an outing this weekend.

The right-back has made 27 appearances across all competitions this season but has started to become regularly criticised for his performances.

It was no different on Saturday when fans took to Twitter to blast the ex-Bristol City player for his performance.

One supporter even claimed Ayling was playing “like he is drunk” against Hull.

Here is a selection of their tweets:

Leeds have a number of options at right-back with Vurnon Anita and Gataeno Berardi also able to play there.

However due to the lack of quality of left-back, Anita and Berardi have spent most of their game time on the opposite side of the back four due to Christiansen’s reluctance to play loanee Cameron Borthwick-Jackson.

It may be an area that Christiansen and director of football Victor Orta may look to strengthen in the January transfer window.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites are plotting a January swoop for this title-winning enforcer who is earning £40,000-a-week at a Premier League side.
