‘Has to start’ – Leeds fans urge Christiansen to start 25-year-old new signing v Bolton

Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to urge Thomas Christiansen to name Ezgjan Alioski in his starting line up for Sunday’s Championship opener at Bolton.

The Whites travel to the Macron Stadium with a host of new players that could potentially earn their competitive debut against the newly-promoted Trotters.

However one name that most of the Elland Road faithful are keen on seeing on the teamsheet is that of Alioski, who arrived from Swiss outfit Lugano in July.

The 25-year-old was in hot form for Lugano last season as he got switched from his usual left-back position to playing a more inside forward role on the right wing.

At times the 13-times Macedonia international was also used as a striker as he netted 17 goals and supplied 14 assists in 36 appearances across all competitions.

That sort of form has seen Leeds fans excited about the prospect of seeing him playing in the first-team, any many have taken to Twitter ahead of the clash with Bolton to say that he should start.

Leeds will no doubt be hoping to improve on last season’s seventh-placed finish in the Championship this term by breaking into the play-off spots.

A win against Bolton on Sunday could propel them to the top of the standings if they win by three or more goals.
