Leeds insider reveals latest on pursuit of Tottenham’s Manor Solomon
Leeds United have received an update on their pursuit of Tottenham winger Manor Solomon as they prepare to kick off their Premier League campaign at home to Everton.
Leeds have added eight new faces to their squad this summer following their Championship title-winning campaign last season.
The Yorkshire club will make their Premier League return after two seasons away in the second tier and their squad has faced a large reshaping this summer.
Leeds took their recruitment to eight with the arrival of Dominic Calvert-Lewin, but Daniel Farke’s side are still on the lookout for reinforcements.

More additions on the way says Leeds United insider
After large reinforcements in defence and the signings of Calvert-Lewin and Lukas Nmecha in forward areas, Leeds are looking to continue to bolster their attack.
Beren Cross, an insider for The Athletic revealed (18 August) there are no concrete discussions about bringing Solomon back to Elland Road for a second consecutive season.
Cross didn’t rule it out as a possibility but suggested that specific circumstances would have to be met including an unlikely loan exit for one of their existing five attackers.
However, Cross did suggest that AC Milan forward Noah Okafor may be on his way into the club.
Okafor, would add wide talent to a unit that already boasts Dan James, Largie Ramazani, Wilfried Gnonto, and Jack Harrison.

Leeds face an uphill battle do have the quality to stay up
Football Insider verdict
The past two Premier League seasons have seen all three promoted sides return to the Championship at the first opportunity.
This season Leeds, Sunderland and Burnley will be hoping to change that trend and all three clubs have invested heavily in their squads in a bid to make that a reality.
Sunderland got their campaign off to the perfect start by beating West Ham United 3-0 on the opening weekend, while Burnley were on the wrong end of a 3-0 loss to Tottenham.

Leeds will hope to match Sunderland’s result as they welcome Everton to Elland Road on Monday and former Toffees forward Calvert-Lewin could be in the headlines as he looks to hit the ground running against his former club.
Jaka Bijol and Sebastiaan Bornauw will look to reinforce a defence that was the second best in the Championship last season but the worst in the Premier League when they got relegated in 2022-23.
Left-back Gabriel Gudmundsson and goalkeeper Lucas Perri arrive from Lille and Lyon repectively to plug additional gaps in Farke’s defence, while Lukas Nmecha joins former Wolfsburg teammate Bornauw having arrived on a free transfer.
Anton Stach was another Bundesliga buy and strengthens Leeds’ midfield, which also sees the addition of Sean Longstaff, who will bring energy and Premier League experience to the midfield.
The bridge between the Premier League and the Championship has never been more difficult to overcome but Leeds are doing their best to make it happen this season, adding Okafor as well as Solomon could be the extra step they need.
