Leeds next manager latest after Daniel Farke sack twist: Bookies’ favourite and who 49ers want
Daniel Farke has fought off any immediate discussion over his position at Leeds United, but the German remains under pressure.
Leeds drew 3-3 with Liverpool on Saturday, with the Whites fighting back from 2-0 and 3-2 deficits to earn a point at Elland Road.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Anton Stach and Ao Tanaka all scored, with the latter’s goal coming in the sixth minute of stoppage time.
In midweek, Leeds beat Chelsea 3-1, in a result that shocked Elland Road and handed Farke a lifeline.
Football Insider revealed that Farke is set to be given more time at Leeds following the results, with the Whites hoping to build up some consistent form.
Daniel Farke still at risk as bookies name favourite
Leeds were close to sacking Farke before the trip to Manchester City last month, but decided to hand the German more time after his side had fought back.
The Whites lost the game to a Phil Foden goal in stoppage time, but had managed to level the scores despite going into the break 2-0 down.

The last week has seen decision-makers at Elland Road rewarded for that change of heart, but they will not hesitate to have one the other way, too.
Farke remains under pressure at Leeds, and will be expected to guide his side further away from the relegation zone in the coming weeks if he wants to stay in charge in the new year.
The bookies have named Gary O’Neil as the favourite for the Leeds job should a change be made.
The former Wolves and Bournemouth manager has been without a job since leaving Molineux in 2024, and leads a list containing the likes of Erik ten Hag and Carlos Corberan.
O’Neil’s odds of becoming the next Leeds manager have shortened to as little as 1/1, according to one major bookmaker.

Leeds will be aware that they are walking a tightrope when it comes to Farke.
The German has likely not done enough to be sacked, but on average, teams that wait longer to sack an underperforming manager are far less likely to survive relegation.
In the event that the 49ers do pull the trigger, both Ange Postecoglou and Brendan Rodgers are contenders according to talkSPORT.
Both coaches are without jobs, with Rodgers having left Celtic in October, while Postecoglou was sacked by Nottingham Forest after just 39 days in charge.
