
Leeds player ratings v Aston Villa: Trio shine

Football Insider rates the Leeds players in their 2-0 victory against Aston Villa in the Championship on Saturday evening.
Robert Green 7 – Did his job when called upon in goal and made an important reaction save after miscommunication with Charlie Taylor.
Luke Ayling 6 – Prevented attacker Jonathan Kodjia from getting any joy down his side of the pitch.
Kyle Bartley 6 – The 25-year-old did an assured job at the back and helped ensure his side a clean sheet.
Pontus Jansson 7 – The combative defender made an important block from Gary Gardner and commanded the back line well.
Charlie Taylor 5 – The full-back made some good forward runs, but was almost caught out by Albert Adomah as he left a ball free on the edge of the box.
Kalvin Phillips 6 – Phillips caused some problem with his set-pieces, but needed to be more creative in open play.
Ronaldo Vieira 6 – The youngster didn’t put a foot wrong in midfield and the defensive minded player helped to ensure his side a clean sheet.
Hadi Sacko 8 – Was a constant threat down the right side of the pitch and made a fantastic run for the second goal.
Kemar Roofe 8 – The 23-year-old made some good attacking runs and found himself in the right position to head home the opening goal.
Souleymane Doukara 8 – The former fringe man gave another fine display to show that he deserves his place in the team. Set-up Roofe’s goal with a perfect cross from the left side of the pitch.
Chris Wood 7 – Was fairly anonymous over the 90 minutes, but popped up in stoppage time to convert the second and put the match to bed.
