Leeds player ratings v Middlesbrough: Senior duo to blame in shocking 3/10 displays
Midfielders
Kalvin Phillips – 4: Partnered alongside O’Kane after they helped pull off the club’s first win of 2018 last weekend, he failed to stamp any sort of authority against Boro, and that inability to control the game was a key factor in defeat. Hooked at half time in place of Adam Forshaw.
Eunan O’Kane – 3: If Wiedwald was to blame at the back, then O’Kane was the weak link in the middle of the park. A truly awful showing saw him offer less than Phillips, as he misplaced passes time and again and had no handle on his opposition.
Samu Saiz – 5: Credit where credit is due, the Spaniard did try to make things happen when Leeds were on the ball. However, his quality was severely lacking, and he wasted opportunities from both open play and dead balls.
