Roofe skimmed the bar in an acrobatic effort after a goal mouth scramble in the opening phases of the game but really struggled to get a foothold from there on in.
He was moved out on the right wing when Lasogga came on at half-time and looked to have improved.
The ex-West Brom attacker struck the crossbar with a decent effort from the edge of the area after a clever pass from Saiz.
