Berardi started the game at left-back but was switched to his more natural side on the right when Ayling was taken off through injury.
The one-time Switzerland international did a decent job but did not do as much attacking work as he normally would.
That was a strange decision by Christiansen to hold him back, especially when he had the chance to play on his natural side.
He could be in for an extended run at right-back with Ayling’s injury.
