Leeds player ratings v Preston: Star man 9/10

By Dominic Toner

Football Insider rates the Leeds players after their 3-0 win against Preston in the Championship.

Rob Green 6 – He was called into action early on to make a couple of saves, but was fairly untested apart from that.

Luke Ayling 6 – The right-back delivered yet another consistent performance and is a mainstay in the side.

Kyle Bartley 6 – The centre-back was the leader in defence and enjoyed a relatively quiet afternoon.

Pontus Jansson 7 – Produced a more formidable display and recaptured the form he has shown for most of the season.

Gaetano Berardi 6 – Looked impressive going forward and was his usual combative self with a number of crunching tackles.

Ronaldo Vieira 7 – Bit of an unsung hero in the Leeds side and broke up possession well all match.

Kalvin Phillips 7 – Looked solid in the midfield and tried to support the attack at times when he could.

Kemar Roofe 9 – The attacker came into the starting line-up and showed a real willingness to attack. He opened the scoring after a well-worked move with Wood and his deflected shot went in, as well as setting up Hernandez for his goal.

Pablo Hernandez 8 – Showed some real glimpses of quality during the game and scored the second goal of the match. He also demonstrated a different side to his game by putting his body on the line.

Alfonso Pedraza 7 – He was recalled to the line-up and looked sparkling at times, set for an extended run in the side.

Chris Wood 7 – The star striker had a goal disallowed in the first-half, despite finishing cooly.

Stuart Dallas (for Roofe 70mins) 6

Souleymane Doukara (for Wood 80 mins) 7

Charlie Taylor (for Hernandez 88mins) 6
